German Frers-Designed Swan 78-001 Haromi and Swan 78-002 Kinina Launched in Pietarsaari

The Swan 78-001 Haromi and Swan 78-002 Kinina, two of the four Swan 78s designed by German Frers, have recently been launched in Pietarsaari. These luxurious yachts exemplify Nautor’s Swan’s expertise in crafting high-performance racing and cruising yachts.

Upcoming Yacht Shows and Events

Haromi is set to make a splash at the Rolex Swan Cup 2018 in Porto Cervo (September 9-16) and will also be showcased at the Genova Boat Show. Kinina will be on display at the Cannes Yacht Show (September 11-16).

The latest version of the Swan 115, hull number 004, will have its worldwide preview at the Monaco Yacht Show. Additionally, Nautor’s Swan will participate in the Annapolis Boat Show in the United States.

Design and Performance Features

The Swan 78 incorporates all of Nautor’s extensive knowledge and experience in blue-water racing and cruising yachts. With a length kept within the EC 24.00 meters limit, its beamy and powerful hull form ensures superior performance. Modern hull lines, a flared stern, twin rudders, and a telescopic keel make Haromi ideal for fast long-distance cruising or enjoying privacy with friends and family.

Haromi boasts a bespoke performance package enhancing her racing capabilities. This includes a longer bowsprit, ECsix carbon rigging, halyard locks, a square-top mainsail with running backstays, a mainsheet traveller, and additional powered winches on the coachroof.

Keel and Build Specifications

Keel options for the Swan 78 include deep telescopic lifting, fixed deep, and fixed shallow configurations, all designed to maintain stability. The twin rudder configuration and standard sail plan remain constants. Kinina, the Swan 78-002, features a standard keel with a 4-meter draft.

Built with prepreg glass/carbon for the hull and bulkheads, and full carbon epoxy sandwich with Corecell foam core for the deck and structures, these yachts are vacuum and oven cured for optimal strength and durability.

Swan 55, eleganza senza tempo

English Translation

Swan 55, timeless elegance

The new 55 by Germán Frers is poised to write another chapter in the history of Nautor’s Swan. As always, the elements rooted in the yard’s DNA—elegance, quality, performance, and reliability—drive this achievement. Additionally, the design prioritizes the balanced behavior of the hull at every angle of heel. On the deck, maneuvering and relaxation areas are well separated. Furthermore, the cockpit, equipped with twin tables, adapts to various needs.

The new platform, with its two-stage opening, revolutionizes the concept of an openable stern. This design effectively creates a true beach area akin to those on maxi yachts but on a boat of limited dimensions, thus facilitating access to the tender garage. Moreover, the innovative bowsprit benefits both the tack point of downwind sails and anchor handling.

Overall, the SWAN 55 offers timeless elegance, with reliability, quality, and performance for a hull that looks to maxi solutions. Specifically, the two-stage opening platform/beach area and the interiors by Misa Poggi, with their four stylistic moods, stand out as key features. The refined luxury and maximum comfort of the interiors showcase the four stylistic “moods” created by Misa Poggi: Swan Soul, Scandi Vision, Blue Genoa, and Velvet Vibe. The layout includes three double cabins and two bathrooms with separate showers. Additionally, the salon features a C-shaped sofa with a central table on the left, while the area on the right with a chart table offers three different customization options.
