Celebrating the Christening of Maxi Yacht Raijin
A proud new chapter has begun with the official christening and delivery of the Swan 128 Raijin at the Nautor Swan yard in Pietarsaari, Finland.
The celebration brought together the owner’s family, crew, and the dedicated craftsmen and women whose expertise transformed a vision into one of the most advanced sailing yachts ever built. It was a fitting occasion to celebrate not only the launch of an exceptional yacht, but also the collaboration, passion, and commitment that made her possible.
As the first Swan 128, Raijin marks another significant milestone in the long-standing partnership between Germán Frers and Nautor Swan—a design relationship spanning more than four decades and defined by a shared pursuit of performance, elegance, and seaworthiness.
Conceived as a true sporty cruiser, Raijin has been designed to excel both in long-distance bluewater cruising and on the world’s most demanding racing circuits, without compromise or modification. At nearly 39 metres in length, she combines refined styling with outstanding sailing capability, reflecting the design philosophy that has guided Frers designs for generations: creating yachts that are as rewarding to sail as they are beautiful to behold.
With naval architecture by Germán Frers, exterior design by Lucio Micheletti, and interior design by Misa Poggi, Raijin represents the combined talents of a remarkable design team, brought to life through the exceptional craftsmanship of Nautor Swan.
We extend our warmest congratulations to the owner and everyone involved in bringing Raijin to fruition. We wish her fair winds, memorable voyages, and many successful regattas in the years ahead.
