The primary objective of this 30′ Neoclassic Motoryacht is to enable the owners to enjoy day cruising while spending quality time with family and friends. Having prior experience with both sailboats and cruisers, the owners had a clear vision for this project. The owner’s wife, a talented architect, played a significant role in influencing the design and layout.
The hull features optimized semi-displacement lines with a central skeg for enhanced directional stability. The coachroof, crafted entirely from wood, offers a classic aesthetic. The cruising speed of 10 knots was selected to allow for leisurely appreciation of the surroundings. However, the design also includes the capability to achieve a few additional knots for longer voyages, if needed.
The forward deck is designed without a coachroof, opting instead for a higher freeboard to enhance the vessel’s profile and functionality. Large windows throughout ensure an abundance of natural light, creating a harmonious connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
An outdoor kitchen was specified to facilitate social interaction during meal preparation, avoiding the spread of cooking odors within the cabin. The aft deck features a spacious sofa and a table designed to accommodate up to ten people comfortably, providing an inviting space for gatherings. Additionally, the roof has been incorporated into the shared living area, seamlessly integrating solar panels into the overall design.
