The preliminary design work for the German Frers Swan 78 began in 2016, offering a harmonious combination of performance, comfort, and versatility.
Two different interior arrangements are available, one interior design configuration includes a spacious owner’s cabin with a double island berth located aft, two aft midship cabins, one forward midship cabin, and a bow cabin with two bunk beds. The main salon features an “L”-shaped and a “U”-shaped settee, providing ample seating for relaxation and entertainment.
The deck layout of the Swan 78 is carefully planned, with all control lines neatly routed through a conduit beneath the teak decking, leading directly to the winch drums. This thoughtful arrangement ensures efficient and convenient handling of the yacht’s rigging and sails.
The hull design incorporates a plumb stem and a reverse transom, which includes a drop-down tailgate swimming platform and a dinghy garage for easy water access and storage. The Swan 78 is equipped with dual internally mounted spade-type rudders, controlled by dual wheels, enabling precise steering and maneuverability. The yacht offers the choice of a fixed fin keel, a lifting keel for enhanced versatility, or an optional shoal-draft keel for navigating shallower waters.
Built by Nautor Swan in 2018, the Swan 78 is a testament to German Frers’ expertise and Nautor Swan’s commitment to delivering exceptional yachts.
